The information about our Omega 301 alloy

Our Omega 301 alloy integrates high wear-resistance of Omega 101 alloy with high corrosion-resistance of Omega 201 due to average dispersedness of tungsten carbide grain in a hard and corrosion-resistant Ni-based alloy. As per this property, our bimetallic barrel with 301 alloy layer has excellent performances in running almost all of resin, such as CPVC, CPE, PTFE, PAA, and the resin which is filled with various of loading material, such as glass fiber, carbon dioxide, limestone and etc.

3) Technical properties of Omega 301 alloy:
There are the same macrohardness between 301 and 101. But regarding the wear-resistance of metal, we must both consider not only its macrohardness, but also its microhardness. A narrow and average alloy dispersedness area exists between the base material and alloy liner of 301, the Knoop microhardness in this area is KHN700(Equal to HRC58~59), But the average Knoop microhardness of carbide inside alloy 301 is KHN 2000, really very high and that’s the reason for the wear-resistance of 301 alloy is much better than others;
The corrosion resistant ability of 301 alloy is the same as 201 alloy in many circumstances. When it is inside thin hydrochloric acid, thin vitriol, oil of vitriol, thin fluorate and other kinds of chemist solvent, it puts up an ascendant corrosion resistant ability;
The test of wear-resistance had been finished in model ALPHA LFW-1 machine, it indicated that 301 alloy can bear strong adhesion resistance and high corrosion resistance. These tests is proceeded in the standard steel ring (HRC58~63, vertical loading is 300 pounds) from AISI 4620.The steel ring was rotating with pressing the tested sample with the speed of 71 feet per minute. As a result, 301 alloy is better than other various of wear resistant materials and wear resistant platting layer;
301 alloy has an excellent performance when it is in high working temperature. In room temperature, the hardness of 301 is HRC55~65, but its hardness could keep on over HRC 50 when it is working under 482℃; And if it is inside working temperature 816℃ for a short time, the temperature hardness would not be changed in the mass. But the normal working temperature for this alloy should be under 482℃.
