How should the raw materials be selected in the formula for PVC surface skin core layer microcellular foamed extruded profiles?

At present, the main types of plastics used for coating cables include polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), etc.

PVC has relatively high voltage resistance and insulation resistance, and features flame retardancy, oil resistance, corona resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and good water resistance. However, it has a relatively large dielectric constant and dielectric loss, and is thus mainly used as an insulating material for wires and cables or as a sheath layer for cables and optical cables below 1000V.

PE cable materials have high volume resistivity, good electrical performance after aging, small dielectric constant and dielectric loss, and are less affected by temperature and frequency. They are mainly used as insulation layers for high-frequency cables and power cables.

PP has the characteristics of high surface hardness, wear resistance, resistance to flattening, high softening temperature, and good insulation performance. It is mainly used in the production of high-temperature resistant cables, high-frequency cables, and special cables.
