Why does overflow occur at the exhaust port of the extrusion main machine when producing ABS multi-layer composite plates? How should it be handled?

1.Improper control of the forming temperature, with it being too high. The temperature of each section should be appropriately reduced. The temperature of the extruder is generally controlled between 180 and 230℃. If the temperature is too high, the melt fluidity will be too good, resulting in unstable extrusion, large fluctuations, and easy overheating and decomposition of the melt. If the temperature is too low, the melt plasticization will be uneven, the fluidity will be poor, the surface gloss of the sheet will be poor, and the internal quality will be poor. The temperature of the connector is generally 5℃ lower than that of the homogenization section at the head of the screw, or the same. This temperature plays a decisive role in the fluidity of the raw material. If the temperature is too high, the melt is prone to degradation and discoloration, and the extrusion fluctuation is large; if the temperature is too low, it is easy to block the exhaust port, causing the vacuum degree to drop, and resulting in bubbles on the surface of the sheet.

2. The filter screen is clogged, causing excessive pressure at the machine head. During the production process, the filter screen should be replaced in a timely manner, and the machine head and connector should be cleaned.

3.The vacuum suction at the exhaust port is too strong. The vacuum degree at the exhaust port should be properly controlled.
