How should one select the molding equipment when generating PP water supply pipes?

The extruders used for the production of PP water pipes are usually single-screw extruders. The size of the extruder is generally selected based on the diameter of the pipe to be produced. Refer to Table 2-2 for selection. The screw form is preferably a stepped deformation screw, with a screw length-to-diameter ratio of generally 25 to 30 and a compression ratio of 2.5 to 4.

Straight-through die heads are mostly used for pipe forming. The straight part of the mandrel is (2~5)D in length (D represents the pipe diameter). When the pipe diameter is small, a smaller value should be selected; when the diameter is large, a larger value is preferred. Vacuum sizing is commonly used for sizing, but internal pressure inflation sizing can also be adopted. The inner diameter of the sizing die is D/[1-(0.27%~0.47%)]
